Open to individuals who are at least 13 years old and able to hold a valid Tournament Arc account, except employees, contractors, and immediate family members of the Sponsor. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Entrants are responsible for determining whether participation is lawful in their jurisdiction.
Create a character and enroll it in an open weekly or monthly championship league before that league's enrollment window closes. Entry may require spending Arc Tokens, as described on the league's enrollment page at the time of entry. No entry is valid without a submitted character meeting the platform's content guidelines (see Terms of Service).
This Contest is a skill contest, not a game of chance. Each round's matchups are resolved by an AI narrative engine that evaluates the two competing characters' submitted abilities, traits, and lore to determine an outcome — entrants who craft a more detailed, internally consistent, and tactically specific character have a competitive advantage in these simulated matchups. No random-number mechanic decides who wins a matchup.
Opening-round pairings (which entrant faces which) are assigned by random draw among that league's entrants; all pairings in every subsequent round are determined entirely by the outcomes of prior matchups, never re-drawn. This mirrors standard practice in other skill-based bracket tournaments, including fighting-game and esports events: entrants should be prepared to face any other active entrant, whether or not they are familiar with that entrant's character. Randomizing the field a competitor must face does not change how any individual matchup's outcome is determined. Odds of winning the Contest depend on the number of entrants in a given league and the relative merit of each submitted character, and cannot be stated as a fixed number.
The prize for a given league is a cash pool funded by a portion of that league's entry fees, shown on the league's page and finalized once enrollment closes. The champion of a completed championship league is eligible to receive that league's prize pool. Prizes are paid via Stripe Connect to a payout method the champion connects in their account settings, or by an alternate method at the Sponsor's discretion. Winners are solely responsible for any taxes owed on a prize; the Sponsor may issue tax reporting documentation where required by law.
A champion has 90 days from the date their league completes to connect a payout method and receive their prize. Prizes unclaimed after this window are forfeited. The Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, honor a claim made after this window has passed.
By entering, you grant the Sponsor the rights described in the Terms of Service to display and share your character and its match results, including the champion announcement and match recap images, within the app and on the Sponsor's social media accounts, without additional compensation.
The Sponsor may disqualify any entrant it reasonably believes has attempted to abuse or manipulate the Contest (including via multiple accounts) and may cancel, suspend, or modify a league or these rules at any time, including for technical failures affecting the integrity of the Contest. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Sponsor is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in this Contest.
